SCOTOPIA NEW PLAY FESTIVAL

Scotopia is MoB Theatre’s annual celebration of new work. The festival welcomes artists at any stage of their careers and creates space for bold ideas, inventive storytelling, and meaningful collaboration. Each year, Scotopia features original pieces that speak to the world we’re living in and invite audiences and performers to think, question, and connect.

The name comes from a term that means “the ability to see in dim light.” True to that idea, the festival highlights stories that might otherwise stay in the shadows. Scotopia aims to bring forward work that challenges assumptions, sparks dialogue, and gives artists room to explore, experiment, and grow alongside the MoB ensemble.
